The Chinese development team Shanghai X-Idea Design Company has unveiled a prototype XCELL motorcycle powered by hydrogen fuel cells. In addition to a non-trivial design, the novelty is distinguished by the presence of a holographic projection and the latest security systems. The concept has already won the Red Dot Design Award 2022.
As reported, XCELL will receive a power plant classic for hydrogen vehicles: electricity will be generated from fuel cells and, through a traction battery, power an electric motor – it will allow the motorcycle to be accelerated to 200 km / h. It is expected that the cruising range on one gas station will be up to 200 km.
It is assumed that XCELL will be maximally customized for a specific driver: it will be possible to adjust the position of the steering wheel, footpegs and seat. In addition, there will be several options for adjusting the stiffness of the suspension.
The list of equipment for a promising motorcycle includes an intelligent active safety system, which includes holographic projection technology, a night vision system and a blind corner prediction function.
