The 5-door Mahindra Thar off-roader SUV is going to debut on August 15. It has been seen testing many times. In such a situation, many details of the SUV have been revealed. Some changes will be seen in the design of the 5-door Thar model as compared to the three-door Mahindra Thar. Its length will be 300mm more than the current model, and the cabin space and boot space of the car will also be more. Apart from this, the material quality of the SUV will also be improved.
Features of Mahindra Thar 5-door
In terms of features, the new 5-door Thar will have many more features than the existing 3-door Thar. It can be provided with a newly designed dashboard, 10.25 inch touchscreen infotainment system with Adrenox software and OTA updates. However, MID (Multi-Information Display) can be provided on its lower variants like Scorpio-N.
Dashcam with front-rear monitoring function will be provided on top models of Thar 5-door. To make the rear seats comfortable, the company will provide rear air conditioning vent and rear center armrest for the bench seat. Apart from this, powered sunroof and leather seats can be provided on the above variants.
In the 7-seater model of 5-door Mahindra Thar, bench seats can be provided for the middle row passengers and captain seats for the rear passengers. According to its testing model, the car can be provided with a camera behind the IRVM (interior rear view mirror) and advanced driver assistance system. Apart from this, 6 airbags and some advanced safety kit can be found in the SUV.
Mahindra Thar 5-door engine
Talking about the engine, Mahindra Thar 5-door model will have two engine options. One of these will be 2.0 liter turbo petrol and the other will be 2.2 liter diesel engine. The option of manual and automatic transmission will be given with both engines.
Mahindra Thar 5-door price
The price of 5-door Mahindra Thar has not been revealed yet. It is expected that its price in the Indian market may start from Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom). After launch, it will compete with Maruti Jimny 5-door and Force Gurkha 5-door models.
