Together with the Redmi 12 Pro, Redmi 12 Pro+ and Redmi 12 Extreme smartphones, Xiaomi today introduced the Xiaomi Book Air 13 laptop in China. This is the company’s most compact mobile computer: only 12 mm thick and weighs 1.2 kg.
The novelty is equipped with 10-core Intel processors of the latest generation. In the base – Core i5-1230U, in the top version – Core i7-1250U. The amount of RAM LPDDR5 was 16 GB, the amount of solid state drive – 512 GB.
Xiaomi did not shine this feature of the laptop, so during the announcement there was a surprise: Xiaomi Book Air 13 is not an ordinary laptop, but a transformer. It can be used as a tablet. During the presentation, Xiaomi showed that the device supports a stylus.
The OLED touch screen is characterized by a diagonal of 13.3 inches and a resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels. The laptop also received an 8-megapixel webcam, a fingerprint scanner (it is built into the power key), a 58.3 Wh battery (which is a lot for such a crumb), and a pair of Thunderbolt 4 ports.
Xiaomi Book Air 13 with Core i5 processor is priced at $690, the price of the version with Core i7 processor is $775. These are the prices for those who pre-order, in retail the novelty will be more expensive.
