Royal Enfield himalayan 450 Syp Shots: Royal Enfield has been working on the Himalayan 450 for some time now. The new motorcycle will be powered by a 450cc engine, which will generate more power and torque than the current Himalayan’s 411cc engine. It will be launched in India as an adventure tourer, which will take on bikes like BMW G310GS and KTM 390 Adventure. A few days ago spy pictures of its exhaust design came face to face and now spy shots of its side profile have been leaked. The expected updates on the Himalayan 450 will make it an even more off-roader. Along with this, it will also be able to offer a comfortable ride on-road.

Spy shots reveal that the new motorcycle gets a wide seat to accommodate riders of all frames and sizes. Riders are also expected to get better comfort cushioning. The rider triangle also looks better than the Himalayan 411. This will help the rider in daily commute as well as smooth running on the highway. From the spy images, it seems that the seat has also been upgraded for the person sitting behind. The placement of rear footpegs for the rear seat is also good. Apart from this, bigger grab handles are also available.

It will get a larger 450cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled petrol engine with overhead camshafts. It will give more power and more torque than the Himalayan 411. Thanks to the engine and its off-road/on-road capabilities, it will be able to compete with bikes like the KTM 390 Adventure and the BMW G310GS. The engine can be mated to a new 6-speed transmission while the existing Himalayan 411 gets a 5-speed transmission unit.

Spoke wheels will be available in the motorcycle. Like the Himalaya 411, the front wheel can be of 21 inches while the rear wheel can be of 17 inches. The ground clearance of the new model will also be higher. The final production version of the Himalayan 450 could be slightly bigger than the current Himalayan 411. Its weight is also expected to be more.
