MG Motor has started the test drive of its small electric car Comet EV across the country. The company has brought the Comet EV at a starting price of Rs 7.98 lakh but the price of its top model has not been disclosed yet.
It is the smallest car in India till date. Customers who want to experience this car can take advantage of it by visiting the nearest MG Motor dealership. Its booking has been started at the dealership level in some places.
Its official booking will be started from May 15 across the country. It can be booked at the company’s dealership and website. The work is being done to deliver it to the dealerships where the company has not yet been able to make it available.
Apart from being small, the MG Comet EV is also very economical and the company is promoting it a lot. MG Motor claims that the cost of driving this electric car for 1000 km is only Rs 519, which is a very low cost.
At the same time, to woo the urban and young customers, the company is providing more than 250+ decals, graphics options in the Comet EV. At the same time, its color options have been kept very funky and modern, which grabs your attention at once.
It is claimed to offer a range of 230 km on a single charge. It is powered by a 17.3 kWh battery that produces 42 hp of power and 110 Nm of torque. It is a 4-seater vehicle built on the GSEV platform.
MG Comet EV gets 3 drive modes and 3 KERS modes. It has smart start system, digital Bluetooth key, one touch slide and recline passenger seat, parking camera. It has 17 hot stamping panels which keep its structure stable.
Talking about the features, the MG Comet EV gets two 10.25-inch screens with a touchscreen infotainment system and a digital cluster. Comet EV has 55+ connected features, 100+ voice commands, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
For safety, the Comet EV has dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear 3 point seatbelts, rear parking sensors, tire pressure monitoring system, ISOFIX child seat. Its battery has been passed through 39 Battery Plus Car Safety Test.
