Maruti Suzuki has released vehicle sales figures in November. The company sold a total of 1,59,044 units in November 2022 as compared to 139,184 units in November 2021, a growth of 14.26%.
In India itself, Maruti sold 1,35,055 units last month, up from 113,017 units in November last year. Last month other OEM sales stood at 4,251 units, a decline of 10.95%, with 4,771 units sold to other OEMs in November 2021.
The company sold 18,251 cars in the mini segment like Alto, S Preso last month. In the compact segment, Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, Tour S and Wagon R sold a total of 72,844 units. Whereas 1554 units of Ciaz alone have been sold. Talking about utility cars like Brezza, Ertiga, S-Cross, XL6, Grand Vitara, their company has sold a total of 32,563 cars.
Here’s the segment-wise breakdown of Maruti’s sales figures for November 2022. Maruti’s mid-size segment and utility vehicles segment saw maximum growth of 42.70% and 32.51% respectively. The compact segment also saw a growth of around 28%. Other segments like vans and LCVs also saw a decline.
Maruti Suzuki exported 19,378 units in November 2022, a decrease of 7.73% over 21,393 units exported in November last month. The lack of electronic equipment had a minor impact on the production of vehicles, mainly domestic models. Maruti said it took all possible measures to minimize the impact.
Maruti Suzuki India is engaged in manufacturing, buying and selling of motor vehicles, spare parts (automobiles). The company reported a standalone profit of Rs 2,061.5 crore in Q2 FY23, up from Rs 475.3 crore reported in Q2 FY22. Net sales grew by 47.91% to Rs 28,543.5 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2022, as against Rs 19,297.8 crore in the same period last year.
