Taiwan based electric mobility company Gogoro has introduced a new crossover e-scooter in India. The crossover e-scooter will be available in 3 variants GX 250, Crossover 50 and Crossover S. The e-scooter will be produced at the company’s manufacturing plant in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. Power and specifications of Gogoro CrossOver e-scooter
Gogoro Crossover The e-scooter GX250 has a 2.5 kW mid-drive motor. Whereas the CrossOver 50 has a more powerful 5kW hub motor and the S has a 6.4 or 7kW motor. The top speed of the electric scooter is 60 kilometers per hour. All three variants come with two swappable 1.6 kWh battery packs, taking the combined capacity to 3.2 kWh. Talking about the range, the company claims that the range of GX250 can be 111 km. The range and other information about Crossover 50 and Crossover S will be revealed later.
Along with the launch of the new electric scooter, the company also announced the opening of its battery-swapping network in Goa and Delhi. The company also announced new plans to launch service in Mumbai and Pune in the first half of 2024. The crossover series is built on an all-terrain frame. Gogoro says that special features have been provided in it for India.
In terms of design, the e-scooter has an extended LED headlight at the front and horizontal tail lamp at the rear. The e-scooter has a telescopic fork at the front and a twin shock setup at the rear. For braking, disc brakes are provided on both sides. It has a flat floorboard which can easily lift heavy items. It has a twin-seat setup, with a removable pillion seat that can be converted for cargo mounting. The EV has a payload capacity of up to 200 kg and a ground clearance of 176 mm.
