Airtel did wonders, now smooth internet will work in Kashmir’s Kupwara, Baramulla and Bandipora.

 

Airtel has started its mobile services in Kupwara, Baramulla and Bandipora districts of Jammu and Kashmir. With this step, Airtel has become the first private telecom company to provide network service in these areas. The company has installed 15 mobile towers in Kupwara, Baramulla and Bandipora districts.

This will also benefit the local mobile users of these areas. Apart from this, Indian soldiers deployed on the border will also get connectivity. Soldiers will also be able to communicate easily through Airtel network. According to the report, Bharti Airtel has collaborated with the Indian Army to maintain communication connections in villages in Kupwara, Baramulla and Bandipora districts along the Line of Control in North Kashmir.

Airtel has started its services to improve network services and increase connectivity in remote areas of military bases.

Recently, the company has also started connectivity at Galwan River and Daulat Beg Oldie (BDO), which is considered to be India’s northernmost military post.

Through Airtel’s Vibrant Village programme, villages like Kachhal, Balbir, Razdan Pass, Taya Top, Ustad, Kathi and Cheema are now connected to the rest of the country. These villages are in Keran, Machhal, Tangdhar, Gurez and Uri valley, spread across the three districts of Kupwara, Baramulla and Bandipur.

Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has said many times that telecom services will reach all the remote areas of the country by June 2025.
