66-year-old Louise Littlejohn from Dunfermline, Scotland, received a voicemail from the Lookers Land Rover garage in Motherwell. The message was intended to invite her to an event, as she had previously purchased a car from the garage. However, Apple’s AI voice-to-text tool severely misinterpreted the voicemail, adding profane language and even inappropriate questions about her personal life.
Initially, Littlejohn believed the message was a scam, but after verifying the postcode, she realized it had indeed come from the car dealership.
Shocked but Amused
Speaking to the media, Littlejohn shared that she was initially shocked, but later found the situation somewhat humorous. She remarked that while the garage was simply trying to sell her a car, Apple’s AI ended up creating a bizarre and offensive message instead.
