Force Gurkha 5-Door: Even though the Force Gurkha is not as popular as its rival lifestyle SUV – the Maruti Jimny or the Mahindra Thar, it knows how to do its job well. Force Gurkha is a capable offroader. It is now being updated. A 5-door version of the Force Gurkha is in the works, which will rival the likes of the Maruti Jimny and Mahindra Thar once launched. It has been seen many times during testing on the roads. However, no clear information has been revealed about its launch timeline. However, it is expected that this SUV can be launched soon.

Gurkha 5-Door Off-Roader

Recently, the Gurkha 5-door off-roader has been spotted testing again. Its test mule had an emission test kit in it. It has reportedly been spotted during testing in Delhi. From the spy images, it is understood that the 5-door Gurkha has been given the same boxy profile as its 3-door version. The current Gurkha is 4116 mm long but the upcoming 5-door version could be longer. Visually, the round headlamps, Force logo in the centre, front grille and taillights are expected to be identical to the current model.

The prototype is seen to feature 5-spoke machine-cut alloy wheels. Also, it saw different types of taillights on both sides, which will not be the case in the production model. It also had a snorkel. However, the luggage rack was missing from its roof. The tailgate was fitted with a conventional spare wheel.

Engine Specs

As far as engine specs are concerned, the 5-door Gurkha is expected to be offered with the same 3.2-litre CRDi diesel engine as its 6-door sibling. It can be paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. This engine can produce 90 Bhp and 250 Nm. With a low-range gearbox and locking differential, a part×time 4 drivetrain is expected to be standard.
