Elon Musk confirms New X users will have to pay for posts and even reply

Ever since Elon Musk took charge of the microblogging platform X, he has made several significant decisions for Twitter, also known as X. Upon assuming control of X, Elon Musk surprised users by implementing fees for Blue Tick verification. Now, once again, Elon Musk has announced that the company is preparing to introduce fees for new X users.

This new decision by Elon Musk will impact new X users, as they will be required to pay a small fee for actions such as liking, replying to posts, and even bookmarking.

X New User Fees: Why did Musk make this decision? According to reports, Elon Musk has made this drastic decision to combat issues caused by bots effectively. Musk provided this information in response to a user’s query on an X account. It appears that Musk believes charging fees from users is the most effective way to mitigate bot attacks.

Musk also mentioned that this rule will be applicable to new users joining X. Users will be able to post without any charge after three months of creating a new account.
