Suzuki Bike-Scooter: Suzuki made 80 lakh scooters bikes in India

Suzuki Motorcycle India, a subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation and a major player in the Indian two-wheeler market, has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing the production milestone of 80 lakh two-wheelers in India. The company commenced its operations in February 2006 at its manufacturing facility located in Kherki Daula, Gurgaon, where it initially began producing the Suzuki Access 125.

It took Suzuki Motorcycle India 18 years to achieve the milestone of producing 80 lakh two-wheelers. Interestingly, the company reached the production mark of 40 lakh two-wheelers in 13 years, and then significantly accelerated its pace, manufacturing the next 40 lakh vehicles in less than 6 years. Notably, the last 10 lakh vehicles were produced within just one year, highlighting the company’s enhanced production capabilities and efficiency.

Kenichi Umeda, the Managing Director of Suzuki Motorcycle India, expressed his gratitude towards the customers and business partners for their unwavering support and trust in the brand. He emphasized that crossing the 80 lakh production milestone reflects SMIPL’s robust production capacity and commitment to delivering quality products to the market.

Suzuki Motorcycle India offers a diverse range of scooters and motorcycles tailored for both the domestic and international markets. The company’s product portfolio includes 125cc scooters such as the Access 125, Avenis, Burgman Street, and Burgman Street SX, as well as motorcycles ranging from 150cc to 250cc, including the Gixxer and Gixxer SF series, Gixxer 250 and Gixxer 250 SF, and V-Strom SX. Additionally, Suzuki Motorcycle India also offers higher-capacity bikes, including models like the V-Strom 800 DE, Katana, and Hayabusa.
