Mahua Moitra house raided by CBI

In Kolkata, CBI officials conducted a raid at the residence of former Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra in connection with a bribery case related to questioning in Parliament. Mahua Moitra, who served as a Lok Sabha MP for Trinamool Congress, was disqualified from her position in December last year following a report by an investigative panel probing allegations of bribery for posing questions in Parliament. Subsequently, she was also relieved of her parliamentary post. The Lokpal directed the CBI to investigate the matter and submit a report within six months. Acting on this directive, the CBI initiated a case against Mahua Moitra, leading to the raid on her residence in Kolkata.
