Embracer will sell Saber Interactive. Star Wars Remake: KOTOR Lives

Gamers are tired of news about constant layoffs in large companies and well-known studios. Well, their complaints were heard from above – in the case of Saber Interactive, the notorious Embracer Group decided to change their favorite habit.

Embracer is looking to sell the team it bought in 2020 to a group of private investors, according to Bloomberg’s Jason Schreyer’s sources. The transaction amount could reach $500 million. With any luck, Saber will become a private company with about 3,500 employees worldwide.

Schreyer also clarified the status of the remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic – despite the castling, the project is still alive, but the details of its development still remain a mystery. Let us remind you that the game was previously developed by Aspyr studio, but it was (according to rumors) transferred to Saber Interactive.
