Wi-Fi 7 will appear in laptops in 2024. Intel revealed some details about the new standard

Intel aims to bring Wi-Fi 7 to market by 2024. The source says the processing speed of Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) will be twice as fast as that of Wi-Fi 6E, i.e. 5.8 Gbps.

We are currently developing Intel Wi-Fi 802.11be to be certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance and have the technology in laptops by 2024. We expect mass adoption in 2025

Wi-Fi 7 will feature more stable bandwidth at 6GHz and will support up to 36Gb/s data speeds. It was also previously reported that Wi-Fi 7 will double the maximum channel width (up to 320 MHz) and introduce higher order modulation with 4kQAM. In addition, Wi-Fi 7 will have another key feature – the ability to manage, and therefore optimize the various available spectrum bands. This function will be called multi-link operation (MLO). MLO allows devices to use spectrum on multiple channels at the same time.
