Wheel of Mahindra Scorpio N came out on its own, collided with XUV700

Mahindra Scorpio N is a popular SUV currently and its waiting period goes up to 2 years for some variants. Along with this, it is one of the safest SUVs in the country which comes with a 5-star adult safety rating.

However, an incident has come to the fore which raises questions on the safety capability of this SUV. Recently, information about an accident of a 5-month-old Mahindra Scorpio N top spec variant has come to the fore. The SUV met with an accident along with the XUV700.

What makes this incident different is that the accident happened when the front wheel of the Scorpio N came off. Because of this, the driver of the Scorpio N lost control and rammed into a Mahindra XUV700 parked on the roadside.

Fortunately no one died in this incident. The owner of Mahindra Scorpio N while giving an interview to a local channel termed the incident as surprising. Along with this, he has also raised this issue in front of the Mahindra dealership.

However, till now no official statement has been given by Mahindra. This is not the first incident in which the quality of the Mahindra Scorpio N has been questioned. Earlier, a customer had shared a video of the incident of water leaking from the sunroof.

After this, Mahindra took action and started adding foam padding to the sunroof of the new models of its Scorpio N. In such a situation, it is believed that after investigating this incident in a few days, the company can issue a detailed statement.

This SUV has been made available in five trims – Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8 and Z8L and 7-seater and 6-seater options. The Scorpio-N has been brought in both petrol and diesel engines. The Scorpio-N is also made available in 4X4 drivetrain option along with 2X2.

Its 2.0 turbo petrol engine produces 200 bhp power and 270 Nm torque. The 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine, on the other hand, is available in two state options. Its lower version gives 132 bhp power and 300 newton meter torque.

Whereas its higher version generates 175 bhp and 370 newton meter torque. It has the option of 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic. The new Scorpio-N gets 6 airbags as well as voice command and cruise control.
