Production of Simple One electric scooter started, to be launched on May 23

Simple One Electric Scooter: Bengaluru-based electric vehicle start-up company Simple Energy has started production of Simple One electric scooter from its manufacturing plant located in Shoolagiri, Tamil Nadu. This scooter will be officially launched on 23 May. The company is aiming to introduce the longest range of electric two-wheelers in the country. In an official statement from the company, it has been said that along with the production, the company is preparing to start the delivery of Simple One soon.

To give power to the Simple One electric scooter, a 4.8 kWh battery has been provided, which will be capable of giving a range of up to 236 km on a single charge. A 4.5kW electric motor has been used in it. This scooter is capable of accelerating from 0-40 kmph in just 2.7 seconds.

Features

The Simple One e-scooter will feature full-LED lighting, a Wi-Fi-enabled color TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity. Four riding modes like Eco, Dash, Ride and Sonic will be seen in Simple One Electric Scooter. For suspension duty, telescopic front forks and rear mono shock have been given. For braking, disc brakes have been provided at both the ends. It has been given 12-inch alloy wheels.

who will compete

After launching, Simple One will compete with e-scooters like Ola S1, Ather 450 and Bajaj Chetak in the Indian market. An 8.5kW electric motor is available in Ola S One Pro. The range of this scooter is 181Km per charge. Currently it is the segment leader and its ex-showroom price is around Rs. 1.3 lakhs.
