Honda introduced City Hybrid e:HEV, will be launched next month, here are the features with strong mileage

Honda Cars today launched the hybrid version of its best selling midsized sedan City in the country. Apart from strong mileage, safety features have also been given in it.

2022 Honda City e:HEV: Veteran Japanese automaker Honda Cars today (April 14) launched the hybrid version of its best-selling midsized sedan City in the country. Its booking has started and there are plans to launch it in the market next week. According to the company’s claim, it has a self-charging two motor strong hybrid system which is mated to a 1.5 liter petrol engine. It can generate a maximum power of 126 PS and in terms of mileage, this car can go up to 26.5 km in one liter. This will be made in Tapukara, Rajasthan.

  • It gets EV drive mode, hybrid drive mode and multi mode drive options like engine drive mode and regeneration mode.
  • Its safety features include Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Adaptive Cruise Control, Road Departure Mitigation (RDM), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS) and Auto High-beam.
  • Apart from Alexa and OK Google, there are 37 connected features associated with smartwatch devices.

Speaking to news agency PTI, Honda Cars India President and CEO Takuya Tsumura said that through this company the company entered the new era of electrified models segment in the country. He says that now the company’s goal is to emphasize on electric vehicles and by the year 2050, it is to be carbon neutral globally. Honda plans to launch 30 EV models worldwide by 2030 with an annual production of over 2 million. The company will invest $ 4 trillion in the next 10 years in the electric vehicle segment.

The company plans to have two-thirds of the total sales by 2030 in electric models, which include hybrid fuel cell vehicles and battery electric vehicles. After this, the company has set a target of 100 percent transition in EV and fuel cell vehicles worldwide by the year 2040 and then set a target of going carbon neutral by the year 2050.
