Delhi Police Recruitment 2025: Delhi Police will do the first time in its history through the written examination of SHO. Till now, this post was posted on the basis of seniority, in which changes have been made. The exam will be merit based. Delhi Police has started a qualification-based examination for the appointment of Station House Officer (SHO) in cyber police stations. For this, the exam will be held on March 18 at the Delhi Police Academy, Wazirabad. Earlier, SHO was appointed in a traditional way, which was based on experience and seniority.
According to the report of news agency ANI, 122 police inspectors have applied for 15 posts available in cyber police stations in Delhi. The purpose of this new system is to increase transparency in the selection process. As a part of this initiative, Delhi Police is conducting an examination especially for cyber police stations, which have been at the forefront of dealing with digital crimes in the capital.
Delhi Police SHO Vacancy: What will be the syllabus?
In the examination, candidates will be evaluated on the basis of syllabus, including the necessary laws and policing acts. The major topics included in this will be the Code of Justice of India (BNS), Indian Civil Protection Code (BNS), Indian Evidence Act (BSA), Cyber Crime and IT Skills, NDPS Act, Poxo Act, JJ Act, Arms Act, Delhi Police Act, Delhi Excise Act and Company Act. The examination format will include a mixture of multiple choice questions and descriptive questions, which aim to evaluate the legal knowledge, investigation skills and decision making capabilities.
Notification issued for constable post
Meanwhile, Delhi Police has announced a total of 42,451 vacancies for the post of constable for the year 2025. The application form for Delhi Police Constable 2025 will soon be available on the official website delhiipolice.gov.in. After the notification is released, candidates can get important information including exam dates and notification date.
It is expected that the notification for the post of constable will be released on 2 September. Applications for this are also likely to start from the same date. The last date for application will be 1 October, while the exam will be between November and December 2025. Candidates for the post of constable should be between 18-25 years. They should graduate from a recognized university. You can apply for both men and women posts.
