The Department of Telecommunication (DOT) of the Government of India has announced 5G Innovation Hackathon 2025. The aim of this initiative lasting 6 months is to promote 5G powered solution. Its purpose is to remove the problem that comes with technology at the industrial and social level.
This Hackathon 2025 of DOT is an open for students, startups and professionals, its purpose is to provide financial assistance on any technology project, in which he will be able to access about 100 5G labs and will be able to work on improving his technology.

Under the Hackathon 2025, the proposal has been invited to 5G applications, including AI running Network, Iot enabled solution, 5G broadcasting, smart health, agricultural, industrial automation and Quatum Communications etc. Participants will be helped here so that they can improve their technology.

Will have to submit your proposal
Hackathon has included several stages within 2025. Under the first stage, Idea proposal will have to be submitted and in the end, whose idea will win, he will get a huge amount as a prize. 5 lakh rupees coming to number 1. 3 lakhs will be given for runner -up and Rs 1.50 lakh to second runnerup. Apart from this, Best Idea and Most Innovative Prototype will get 50-50 thousand rupees.
Selection will be done at the first regional level
There will be selection of the team at the regional level, which will include 150-200 proposals. After this election, guidelines will be given to improve those proposals. After this, the top-25-50 teams will go to Pragati Face, where everyone will be given a fund of Rs 1 lakh. Let us tell you that if any idea is converted into the intellectual property rights (IPR) of patent, copyright, trademark, then necessary assistance will also be given for IPR filing.
Final will start in September
The final stage of Hackathon 2025 will begin in September 2025, where teams will have to introduce their prototypes. There will be a team of experts prepared by the government for the service, which will have 5-7 experts. Here will be the focus on many criteria.

Idea Shoakesh will have to do IMC 2025
Winner will be announced in October 2025 and that team will have to make Shukesch during its Innovation India Mobile Congress 2025 (IMC 2025). Under this program, a budget of about Rs 1.5 crore has been prepared, where funding on the ideo, help in IPR, mentorship and operational cost are included.
