Truecaller will have AI features: You will be able to make notes from phone calls

Truecaller has launched two amazing features based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in India. With the help of these features, you will be able to record both incoming and outgoing calls. Let’s take a closer look at these features.

Two great features are being introduced by Truecaller, which will be very helpful for Indian users. Truecaller now offers the option to record both incoming and outgoing calls. This feature will be available to both Android and iOS users. Additionally, using AI, Indian users will be able to transcribe the recorded calls. For example, if someone calls you from India, you can transcribe the call into your local language. This will be particularly beneficial for those who spend a lot of time on calls.

Who will benefit?

Currently, Truecaller’s new feature is available only to paid subscribers of the app. This will be an app-based service, meaning you will have to pay separately to use this feature. The call recording facility will be available directly within the Truecaller app, and third-party apps will not be able to use this recording feature.

Launched in India

Truecaller’s new feature was first rolled out in the US before being introduced in India. This is an AI-based feature, meaning you will be able to convert your calls into text. As a result, users can directly make notes from the call itself. The feature was launched in the US in June 2023 and has now been made available in India after about nine months. Truecaller users in India will have the option to transcribe calls in both Hindi and English.

How to record calls:

  • For iPhone:
    1. Open the Truecaller app.
    2. Search for “record call” in the search tab within the app.
    3. You will be connected to the Truecaller recording line.
    4. You will see an option to merge the call screen.
    5. Once the recording is complete, you will receive a push notification, and the call will be saved.
  • For Android:

    1. Open the Truecaller app on your phone.
    2. Go to the dial pad in the app, where you will see the recording button.
    3. By tapping this button, you can start and stop the recording.
