ZTE unveiled the Nubia Pad 3D tablet at MWC 2023. Already in the name its feature is indicated – the presence of a screen on which a three-dimensional image is displayed. However, in order to see this image, no special glasses are needed – the AI Engine Super Bionic Eye technology is used for this.
Its meaning is something like this: the front camera with sensors with a resolution of 8 and 16 megapixels monitors the eyes, this data is processed and a stereographic image appears on the screen depending on the position of the eyes.

Nubia Pad 3D was created in collaboration with startup Leia, who came up with the technology and created the corresponding software. For example, the LeiaTube application that converts any YouTube video to 3D. Other applications allow you to turn into 3D games or photos, there is even a 3D video chat.

The ZTE Nubia Pad 3D hardware platform is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC – it turned out that its capabilities are quite enough for deep learning algorithms and real-time transformation of 2D to 3D content. The screen diagonal is 12.4 inches, the resolution is 2.5K. There are also four Dolby Atmos-enabled speakers and a 9,070mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. The tablet will go on sale in March, but the price is considerable – 1000 euros.
