Every few years, the media conducts polls on the top, brightest and best video games of all time. At the end of March, Game Informer journalists decided to make inquiries among their readers.
The publication team selected 64 titles and organized a kind of tournament. The selection turned out to be strange – there was no place in it for a number of legendary games like Deus Ex or System Shock, but recent hits like Marvel’s Spider-Man and Destiny 2 filled a couple of places.
However, it was not hot new products that made it to the finals, but proven masterpieces – The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Despite gamers’ love for Skyrim, Ocarina of Time emerged victorious from this battle.
It is worth noting that in 2018, Game Informer held a similar “tournament”. That year, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt took the crown, which this time did not make it past the quarterfinals.
