YouTube Creators have contributed a whopping Rs 6,800 crore to the Indian economy by 2020. This is the first time that any agency has given prominence to YouTubers’ contribution to the country’s GDP in its report. The report also says that YouTubers in the country have strengthened their GDP as much as 6,83,900 full-time employees. 92% of small and medium entrepreneurs believe that YouTube has helped them reach new people around the world. 448 million people watch videos on YouTube: The report says that there are more than 40,000 YouTube channels in the country.

It has more than one lakh members and their number is increasing by 45% every year. The number of YouTube channels earning millions is growing at an annual rate of 6%. According to the report, the number of YouTube users in the country is around 448 million. In this case, YouTube ranks second in terms of users. WhatsApp ranks first with 53 crore users, while Facebook ranks third with 41 crore users. Top YouTubers in India: Gaurav Chaudhary tops the list. Nisha Madhulika is at the third position with 4 crores. Carrie Minati is fourth with Rs 2.5 crore and earns Rs 2 crore annually. Popular Ashish Chanchalani is at number five.
