Youtuber lied! Said- spent a day in the airport, police arrested

Police said that 23-year-old Vikas Gowda, a resident of Yelahanka, Bengaluru, entered the airport at around 12 noon on April 7 with a ticket for an Air India flight to Chennai.

According to a report by NDTV, a 23-year-old YouTuber named Vikas Gowda from Yelahanka, Bengaluru, was arrested by the police for allegedly entering Kempegowda International Airport on April 7 under false pretenses. He had a ticket for an Air India flight to Chennai but intentionally did not board the flight. Instead, he spent around 6 hours wandering around the airport premises, recording videos on his mobile phone.

The YouTuber uploaded a video on his channel on April 12, falsely claiming that he had spent the entire day at the airport, bypassing security and accessing various areas. However, he later deleted the video. The police stated that after clearing security at Terminal 2, Gowda went towards the boarding lounge but did not board the plane. He then roamed around the airport before leaving.

The security was not suspicious of Gowda as he had a valid ticket and boarding pass. The police believe that he did this for publicity and made exaggerated claims in the video. A case was registered against Gowda under sections 505 (statements inciting public mischief) and 448 (house trespass) of the Indian Penal Code based on a complaint by a CISF officer. Gowda was subsequently arrested but later released on bail.
