Google is about to add a new learning-related feature to the YouTube platform. At the same time, we are talking about a new opportunity for content authors.
It doesn’t have a name yet, but it’s quite simple: YouTube will be able to post paid educational courses. That is, the authors of such courses, whatever they may concern, will be able to use only YouTube, without redirecting their students to third-party platforms or sites, because it will be possible to pay for these courses directly on YouTube.
Videos that will be part of paid courses will not contain Google ads and will be able to play in the background. In this case, we are talking about those who do not have a YouTube Premium subscription, but will pay for some kind of training course.
As part of the new service, an additional function of the quiz (Quizzes) will also appear. Course authors will be able to create such quizzes for their clients, which will diversify the learning process.
Initially, the new service will appear in the US and South Korea as a beta next year. It is also worth noting that the authors will be able to offer those who wish and free courses.
