Social media apps are constantly borrowing features from each other to keep up with trends. Snapchat, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube have been adding new features with similar features for a long time, which has become especially noticeable in the last couple of years.
YouTube Shorts, which are the answer to TikTok short videos, have amassed five trillion views as of January 2022. This number includes all platforms where YouTube Shorts are available, including computers and Android smartphones, but not tablets.
Now it has become known that YouTube Shorts videos will soon appear on tablets running Android and iOS operating systems. According to YouTube, the YouTube Shorts option should be coming to the YouTube apps for Android and iOS tablets “in the coming weeks.” As soon as the new feature goes live, tablet users should see a Shorts button in the YouTube app.
