Your old ‘blue tick’ will no longer be there, Musk’s announcement regarding Twitter

The biggest advantage of paid subscription of Twitter Blue Tick will be that it will show blue tick on the profile of the users. The company’s CEO Elon Musk said that those who have already got the blue tick are corrupt. He indicated that such blue ticks would be removed soon.

Elon Musk, the second richest person in the world, has started Twitter Blue Tick Paid Subscription. Its biggest advantage is that after verification, users get a blue checkmark on the profile. Earlier, only celebrities and select users used to get blue ticks. In such a situation, after Musk’s signal, the risk of blue tick disappearing for users without paid subscription has increased.

Tagging Musk, a Twitter user wrote, “Dear Elon Musk Blue Verification Mark has become a joke now. Earlier blue tick verification was given only to people who were public figures and political figures but sadly today anyone Tom Dick and Harry gets verified. Your verification tick has lost its charm. To this the Twitter boss replied, “Legacy blue checks will be removed soon. They are the ones who are really corrupt.”

Musk himself has an old blue tick

Users were all set to reply to Musk. A user asked how Musk would decide who is corrupt. Another user pointed out that Musk also has blueticks mixed in the old fashioned way, and removing all blueticks could pose serious security risks. One user suggested, “Legacy accounts should have different colored ticks.”

However, some users appeared with Elon Musk. According to one user, “The verification badge is only meant to confirm that users are who they claim to be. I didn’t like it at first, but now at least by looking at the checkmark, I’ll know I’m talking to a real user.” Explain that Twitter Blue is available in India at Rs 650/month for web and Rs 900/month for Android/iOS.
