New Delhi: The country’s largest charging station is going to open soon in the capital Delhi. Energy Minister Satyendra Jain made this announcement in a press conference on Monday. Delhi Government has floated tender for 500 EV Charging Points and 100 EV Charging Stations. All these stations will be ready in the next 3 months.

These 100 charging stations and 500 charging points will be ready by June 27 this year in the capital. After this, it is believed that the interest of people will increase in buying electric cars. You will be able to charge your EV at these stations at very affordable rates. Here EVs will be charged at the rate of Rs 2 per unit. In other states, this rate is around Rs 10 to 15. In this sense, it will be the cheapest EV charging station in the country. The government had said in its EV policy on 7 August 2020 that the government aims to make 25 percent of the city’s vehicles EV by the year 2025. Delhi is the first state in India to not charge any registration charge or road tax on EVs.
