The Russian Railways Passengers mobile application now offers the opportunity to pay for tickets using the Fast Payment System (FPS), not only for long-distance trains, but also for suburban trains. Russian Railways announced this on its official Telegram channel, adding that the new feature was implemented jointly with VTB Bank. Previously, payment for tickets through the SBP was possible only on the Russian Railways website or at the box office, and only for long-distance trains.
To make a purchase, the passenger needs to issue a ticket for the desired train, then select the payment method – SPB, then find a convenient mobile bank in the list provided and pay the bill. Then you need to return to the RZD Passengers application and complete the ticket purchase. The mobile application is available for Android and iOS operating systems. The company also clarified that the ability to pay for tickets using a bank card has been preserved.
