Yandex.Food fined for leaking user data

The World Court in Moscow fined the Yandex.Food service today, April 21, 2022, for leaking user data to the public.

The amount of the fine was 60 thousand rubles. A spokesperson for the court told reporters:

The court granted the application of Roskomnadzor, the Yandex.Food company was fined 60,000 rubles.”

This is far from the maximum amount of the fine. According to Russian legislation, a fine of up to 100 thousand rubles is expected for the leak of personal data.

Recall that in early March, the Yandex.Food service team reported a leak of user data. As the press service then reported, as a result of unfair actions of one of the employees, the phone numbers of customers and information about their orders were published on the Internet: composition, delivery time, and so on.
