Yamaha is also trying to follow in the same footsteps. The company has recently filed a trademark for the RZ350 and RZ250 in Japan. Looking at the retro-bike craze, it is possible that the company might launch the RZ350 and RZ250 in India as well.

The RD350 was sold in India during the 1980s and 90s. The bike was very popular due to its classic design and powerful performance. Even today some of its models are present in running condition.
Royal Enfield will get competition
The RD350 enjoys a huge fan following in India. It will not be surprising if this bike is relaunched in India. It is also true that Yamaha will have to come up with a high capacity retro bike to compete with Royal Enfield.
Yamaha RD350 can be launched as a modern classic bike. In the 350cc segment, the bike will compete against Royal Enfield bikes, Honda Hness CB350, Jawa, Yezdi, upcoming Bajaj-Triumph and Hero-Harley.

It can be given 347cc air cool engine with 6 speed gearbox. It is expected to get a four-stroke engine for its performance. Talking about the features, the new bike may include LED headlamp with DRL, digital instrument console, dual-channel ABS, Bluetooth connectivity, traction control system and assist and slipper clutch.
