Veteran two-wheeler manufacturer Yamaha Motor India has finally launched Yamaha R3 and Yamaha MT-03. Customers were waiting for these two bikes for a long time. Talking about Yamaha R3, this bike was sold in India earlier also. Now it has been launched at an ex-showroom price of Rs 4.64 lakh. The ex-showroom price of Yamaha MT-03 is Rs 4.59 lakh. This bike has been entered in India for the first time.
Yamaha will bring both these bikes to India through the CBU route. Therefore, in terms of price, these bikes are quite expensive. Talking about design, R3 looks like R15. On the other hand, the design of MT-03 looks similar to Yamaha MT-15. Come on these two bikes Let’s see the features and specifications.
Yamaha R3: design
Yamaha R3 gets full fairing design with dual LED headlamp. The weight of the bike is 169 kg, and its seat height is 780 mm. This bike will get upside-down fork at the front and monoshock setup at the rear. For braking, disc brakes and dual channel ABS will be available on both sides.
Yamaha R3: Engine
Talking about the engine of Yamaha R3, it gets the power of 321cc liquid cooled parallel twin engine. This bike has a 6 speed gearbox. As features, it will have LCD instrument cluster, but there is no Bluetooth connectivity.
Yamaha MT-03: Specifications
The design of Yamaha MT-03 is naked like MT-15. It has LED headlamp with aggressive style fuel tank. Like the R3, it also has upside-down forks at the front and monoshock at the rear. The chassis and engine specifications of the MT-03 are similar to the R3. A 321cc parallel twin engine powers this bike. 6 speed gearbox will be available as gear.
Yamaha R3 will compete with KTM RC 390 in the Indian market. The entry of Yamaha MT-03 may increase the tension between KTM Duke 390 and Triumph Speed 400.
