Yamaha recently introduced two new electric two-wheelers, namely the Yamaha Booster Easy and the Yamaha Booster S-pedelec. The former is an electric e-bike and the latter an electric moped. Both the vehicles have been launched in Europe. The Booster Easy has a top speed of 25 kmph, while the Booster S-pedelec e-moped can reach 45 kmph. Their maximum single charge range is said to be 120 km.
Yamaha’s AccordingBoth electric vehicles will be available this summer. The exact arrow is yet to be announced. Furthermore, the pricing information has also been kept behind the scenes. Yamaha says that “the new Booster models have been designed to provide today’s urbanite with an easy, enjoyable and affordable means of urban mobility.”
Booster Easy and the Booster S-Pedelec are modern variants of the original Yamaha 50cc and MKB scooters from the 1980s and 1990s in Europe. It also gets the same aluminum U-frame as the older models. These come with Yamaha exclusive fork covers and front fender as well as 20-inch wheels. These tires are 4-inch thick. Yamaha Booster models include 180mm-diameter disc brakes.
An automatic support mode is available in these, which works to give it extra power in steep climbing areas. The Booster Easy is equipped with an assisted top speed of up to 25 km/h, while the Booster S-Pedelec is equipped with 45 km/h. Both the models can generate peak torque of up to 75Nm. They can be run up to a maximum of 120 kilometers in a single charge.
In these, Supernova headlight and Koso LED tail-light have been given. The Booster Easy gets a 1.7-inch LCD display, while the S-pedelec includes a 2.8-inch color dot-matrix TFT display. They can be paired with a smartphone via Bluetooth.
