Xiaomi’s Smart Gadgets Now Allow Voice-Activated Fuel Payment: Learn How the New AI Feature Works

Xiaomi and Alipay have jointly introduced a very useful new AI feature. Now, consumers can pay for fuel without using their mobile phones, simply by using voice commands or eye movements. This new feature is designed to provide drivers with a hands-free and fast payment experience.

According to the company, with this Alipay feature integrated into Xiaomi Smart Glasses, there’s no need to scan QR codes or use a mobile app.

Fueling in Three Easy Steps

According to Alipay (via ITHome), this new fuel payment system works in three steps:

Step 1:
As soon as the vehicle enters the fueling area, the AI in the smart glasses automatically provides a voice reminder that the fueling process has begun. This clearly informs the driver that the payment is being processed through their Alipay account.

Step 2:
The driver can then simply give a voice command, such as:
“Xiao Ai, pay for the fuel.”
The AI then connects to the payment system and prepares the payment order.

Step 3:
Finally, the AI confirms the amount to be paid. Upon confirmation, the payment is completed.

Focus on Principles and Technology

According to Alipay, this feature is based on Ant Group’s GPS Trusted Connectivity Technology and AHA Intelligent Interconnection Solution. The company is calling it the “AI Glasses Parking Assistant.”

For security, features like voice print recognition are used, allowing users to make secure payments after linking their Alipay account just once.

Multi-Device Support Also Available

Thanks to GPASS technology, this feature also offers multi-device support. If a notification is issued in the Alipay app on the mobile phone, information such as:

Vehicle start

Billing status

Payment details

All this information is available through voice notifications on the smart glasses. Feature already operational in several cities

Alipay says its smart sticker feature is already active in several cities through its existing sticker network. This includes:

Business documents

Northern Hub

Office buildings

Tourist locations

The feature also integrates health information.

In addition to stores, Alipay has also integrated its AI health marketplace, Ant Fu, into Xiaomi Smart Glasses. Consumers can select Ant Fu from the “Featured Smart Agents” section and ask the glasses health-related questions directly.
