According to the company, more than 7 million (70 lakh) 5G smartphones were sold in India from May 2020 to June 2022. This data of Xiaomi is given by quoting IDC.
Xiaomi’s first 5G smartphone in India
Mi 10 5G was Xiaomi’s first 5G smartphone in India. This handset was not out of reach of most Indians. Because, the company had launched this phone at a price of 44 thousand 999 rupees. After this, Mi 10T 5G and Mi 10T Pro 5G were launched in the 5G smartphone segment. These phones were much cheaper than the previous phones.
Mi 10i 5G became the best selling 5G phone in January 2021
In January 2021, Xiaomi launched Mi 10i 5G, the cheapest G smartphone ever in the 5G segment. The starting price of this handset was started from Rs 20 thousand 999. It was one of the best-selling 5G phones in the market at the time.
Xiaomi’s cheapest 5G smartphone
Xiaomi had cut the starting price of the 5G smartphone in July 2021. In this segment, the company introduced the Redmi Note 10T 5G. Its price was only 13 thousand 999 rupees. A year later, the company launched the Poco M4 5G in India. Now Xiaomi’s cheapest 5G smartphone. Its price is only 10 thousand 999 rupees.
