Xiaomi has expanded its home appliance portfolio in China by launching the Mijia 550L Side-by-Side Refrigerator. This refrigerator is designed for users who need large storage capacity along with smart and safe cooling technology. It features a modern kitchen-friendly design with a flat front surface and matte finish.

The total capacity of the refrigerator is 550 liters, with 332 liters for refrigeration and 218 liters for freezing.

  • Silver-ion antibacterial deodorization system
    The highlight of this model is the silver-ion deodorization system, which, according to the company, can eliminate up to 99.99% of bacteria and over 90% of odors. This system is placed directly inside the refrigeration chamber, helping keep food fresh and odor-free.

    Xiaomi claims the 550-liter capacity is suitable for storing up to two weeks of food for a family of three. The fridge also includes four large drawers and six wide bottle racks, making it highly practical for everyday use.

    The freezer section can freeze around 7 kg of meat in 12 hours, and up to 14 kg in 24 hours.

  • Dual inverter technology
    Both the fridge and freezer sections come with dual inverter technology for precise temperature control.

    It also features a no-frost air cooling system with a flat air duct design, which maintains even cooling and prevents frost build-up.

    Xiaomi claims this model is certified as Energy Efficiency Level 1 and can save about 8.3% electricity annually. It also runs with low noise, enhancing the overall user experience.

The Xiaomi Mijia 550L refrigerator is priced at 1,899 yuan (approximately ₹22,700) in China. It is currently available for purchase on JD.com, but for now, it has only been launched in the Chinese market. There is no official information yet regarding its global launch or India availability.
