Xiaomi has introduced wireless headphones called Bone Conduction. The model is already on sale in China for a price of 699 yuan (about $96). As you can tell by the name of the device, it uses bone conduction technology. Thanks to her, sound vibrations are not transmitted through the air to the eardrum, but immediately into the inner ear through the bones of the cheekbones. At the same time, the user’s ears remain free, and he can hear the sounds of the environment. According to the manufacturer, a similar method of transmitting sound waves is used by marine mammals under water.
Xiaomi Bone Conduction headphones support Bluetooth 5.2 wireless interface and are also equipped with a USB Type-C connector. Battery life on a single charge is 12 hours, while even a 5-minute charge provides up to 2 hours of music playback.
