Xiaomi and Google have announced the next round of their cooperation. A new joint project will allow car owners to easily open their cars using a smartphone. The announcement was made after yesterday’s presentation of the Xiaomi 13 Lite, Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro smartphones for the international market.
Immediately after the presentation, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun announced on Twitter that Xiaomi 13 smartphones will be used as a digital key for BMW cars.
With the Google Wallet application, you can open, close and start the car. You can also share the digital key with a friend or family members.
The distribution of the new feature will begin from the second quarter of 2023. That is, somewhere from April to June.
Xiaomi 13 Lite will be available for purchase in Russia in a few days.
