Xiaomi is preparing to launch its next flagship smartphone series. The company is likely to launch the successor smartphone to the upcoming Xiaomi 12S series in China later this year. Xiaomi was expected to launch its next flagship as the Xiaomi 13 series.
Tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed the camera specifications of the Xiaomi 13 5G ahead of the launch. The tipster has also listed other details of the flagship smartphone. Let’s take a look at the specifications and launch date of the Xiaomi 13 known so far.
Xiaomi 13: will be launched soon
Xiaomi 13 will be the most affordable flagship offering from the company launching in China next month. It may also come in India. The details of the launch in India have not been revealed at the moment. Meanwhile, leaked details suggest that the Xiaomi 13 will feature a new camera sensor at the back. The company is said to launch the phone with the new 50MP Sony IMX8 series sensor. Tipster Digital Chat Station did not give full details about the type of sensor.
Xiaomi 13: Key Specifications
The smartphone will also feature the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC chipset. The vanilla model is likely to get support for faster 120W fast charging out of the box as opposed to the 67W fast charging found on the previous model. Talking about display resolution, 2K support can be found in it. According to reports, the phone will have a 6.2-inch AMOLED display. 120Hz refresh rate will be supported. Design renders of the vanilla model have also been leaked.
Xiaomi 13: When will it be launched?
The details of the Xiaomi 13 5G are under wraps. The company is expected to launch the phone in China in December 2022 alongside the 13 Pro 5G which is said to feature the Sony IMX989 50MP 1-inch camera sensor from the 12S Ultra. We can expect both the models to come with Leica-tuned cameras. It will come with a new square-shaped camera module at the back. The phone will also sport a hole-punch cutout at the top center of the display.
