The first live photo of the Xiaomi 13 smartphone has been published on the Web, and the device was captured with a menu item with technical details. This is not a production model, but a prototype, codenamed nuwa.
The device received 12 GB of RAM (RAM expansion technology is supported – the volume can be “increased” by 3 GB) and is built on an SoC with a processor operating at a frequency of 3.0 GHz. Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro should be among the first phones in the world to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, and 3.0GHz is Arm Cortex-X2 super core frequency.
According to a source citing a Xiaomi employee, Xiaomi 13 phones have already passed the stage of an engineering sample, that is, they are completely finalized. Now, software debugging is probably being carried out, since these models should be the first with MIUI 14 preinstalled. Actually, nuwa is running Android 13 with MIUI 14 (beta) interface.
According to rumors, the premiere of Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro will take place in November, after the announcement of the single-chip Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
