Work from home of Twitter staff banned, Elon Musk warns of difficult times

The new owner of micro-blogging site Twitter, Elon Musk, has banned the work of his workers from work from home or remote location. Along with this, he has advised the workers to be prepared for difficult times. Musk said there’s no way to ignore the state of the economy and how it will affect a company like Twitter that relies on ads.

According to Bloomberg News, in his first email to Twitter staff, Musk wrote about the new Rules informed about. Under these rules, the staff will have to be in the office for at least 40 hours in a week. After taking over Twitter last week, Musk laid off nearly half of the company’s staff. Apart from this, they have increased the price of Twitter Blue subscription to $8 and with this user verification has been added. Musk said he would like to see subscriptions account for half of the company’s revenue.

Earlier, there was a system for the workers of Twitter to work from anywhere on a permanent basis. The company started work from a remote location during the pandemic. Musk said he was against such a system and would allow it on a case-by-case basis. Musk said in the email that the road ahead is difficult and that success will require hard work.

Just days after Musk bought Twitter, the chief executive officer of electric car maker Tesla Tesla has sold shares worth at least $3.95 billion. He said in August that he would sell Tesla shares only if he was forced to buy Twitter. In a regulatory filing made by the company, it has been told that Musk has sold about 1.95 crore shares. However, it has not been given whether there was already a plan for this or not. Musk, who bought Twitter for about $ 44 billion, has taken a loan of about $ 13 billion from US banks for this. In addition, some high net worth investors have promised to invest around $7 billion in the company.
