Winter Vacation 2025: Due to snowfall in the mountains, the suffering of chill and cold wave continues in the plains. The drizzle in nearby areas including Delhi, Noida and Ghaziabad has further increased the cold. In view of the increasing cold and cold wave in North India, the Ghaziabad district administration has issued an order to keep all schools from classes 1 to 8 closed till January 18, 2025. As per the instructions of the District Magistrate, this step has been taken keeping in mind the health and safety of children.
Now all schools of Ghaziabad will remain closed till 18th January
In the notification issued by the District Basic Education Officer, Ghaziabad, it is written, ‘In view of the extreme cold in the district for the last few days, in compliance with the instructions given by the District Magistrate, Ghaziabad, classes 1 to 8 in the district Ghaziabad All schools affiliated to council, secondary (UP Board), CBSE, ICSE or other boards will remain completely closed for students till 18-01-2025. During this period, all the staff/employees of the school will remain present in the school and continue doing departmental work. Also, school principals have been instructed to strictly follow this instruction.
Earlier, holiday was declared in schools till January 14 in Ghaziabad and Noida. Also, the school timings of students from classes 9 to 12 were changed. Schools in UP are currently operating from 10 am to 3 pm. This decision has been taken with the aim of protecting the students from the wrath of cold. In schools where the facility of online education is available, classes from class 9 to 12 will be conducted through online medium so that the education of the students can continue.
Let us tell you that after light rain in the evening in Ghaziabad-Noida on Saturday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 11 and the maximum temperature was 18 degrees Celsius. The sky is expected to remain cloudy on Sunday also. According to the Meteorological Department, it is difficult to get rid of cold and cold wave in the coming few days.
