Many users who have switched to Windows 11 and updated to version 21H2 started complaining about the “screen of death”, in which the system drops out due to incompatibility with Intel Smart Sound Technology (SST) drivers.
For now, the vendor recommends not to upgrade to Windows 11 for those users who have these drivers installed on their computers. The version is also specified: 10.29.0.5152 and earlier, the file name is IntcAudioBus.sys. In the system settings, the drivers are listed as Intel Smart Sound Technology (Intel SST) Audio Controller.
It is noted, however, that the driver bug can be bypassed. Some users can update drivers to versions 10.30.00.5714 and 10.29.00.5714. If you install them, the problem will most likely go away.
