Windows 10 vs Windows 11 on AMD Ryzen processors: who’s faster?

The author of the channel tested the performance of two versions of the Windows operating system: 10th and 11th. Both configurations included AMD Ryzen 9 5950X processor, MSI MEG X570 Unify motherboard, AMD RX 6900 XT graphics card, G.Skill Trident Z Neo 2x16GB RAM, 3600 CL16-16-16-36. The following game projects were selected for testing: Far Cry 6, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, F1 2021, Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, Cyberpunk 2077, Watch Dogs: Legion, Mafia: Definitive Edition, Microsoft Flight Simulator.

V Far Cry 6 on ultra-settings at 1080p, it is possible to get on average the same number of frames on Windows 10 and Windows 11: 123-130 fps. However, in rare events, performance on Windows 10 drops to 86 fps, and on Windows 11 – to 90 fps.

With the same parameters as Far Cry 6, it starts Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege… At the same time, the difference in average performance here is about 20 fps: about 600 fps on Windows 10 and about 620 fps on Windows 11. In rare events, the performance is also lower on Windows 10: 444 fps versus 445 to / s.

Also on ultra settings at 1080p goes F1 2021… The gap between Windows 10 and 11 in the game is insignificant: 312 fps on average for version 10 versus 317 fps for version 11. In rare events, the values ​​are approximately identical: 195 fps and 194 fps, respectively.

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord with “very high” (Very High) graphics settings and at 1080p it goes a little better on Windows 11: from about 195-200 fps on average and 113 fps in rare events. At the same time, Windows 10 manages to get about 192-193 fps and 119 fps, respectively. At times the average number of frames leveled out during the game.
