On the YouTube channel i2HARD tested two variants of a computer assembly (based on Intel Core i9-12900K and AMD Ryzen 9 5950X) in seven modern games. Projects included Cyberpunk 2077, Far Cry 6, SC: Survivors, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, A Total War Saga: TROY, Watch Dogs: Legion, Call of Duty: Warzone.
Before testing in games, the experts checked the configurations in other benchmarks. As noted by the authors, in some of them the Intel processor on Windows 10 shows strange results. So, in TestMem5 it worked only on efficient E-cores. Ryzen had strange features in Windows 11.
As for the results in games, in them Intel on Windows 10 or Windows 11 consistently outperformed the rest of the options. Ryzen, on both Windows 10 and Windows 11, lagged behind the competition in performance. V Cyberpunk 2077 in 1080p resolution on ultra settings between Intel on Windows 10 and Windows 11, the difference is quite insignificant in favor of version 10 (the average number of frames is 138 fps versus 136 fps, respectively). If we talk about Ryzen, then there was no difference between the two versions of the operating system: the average frame rate was 117 fps.
Ultra-preset at 1080p Far Cry 6 runs at the highest average frame rate on Intel Core i9-12900K and Windows 11: 140 fps versus 139 fps on Windows 10. The Ryzen processor averages 116 fps with both operating systems.
SC: Survivors also comes in 1080p and at maximum settings. The best here is the configuration with Intel and Windows 11: the average number of frames in this case is 137 fps. On Windows 10, Intel outputs 131 fps, and as for the Ryzen processor, the performance with it on Windows 10 is 112 fps, and on Windows 11 – 110 fps.
