The telecom company has purchased spectrum in the 700 MHz, 800 MHz, 1800 MHz, 3300 MHz and 26 GHz bands. 5G service is going to start soon in India. 5G smartphones have been on sale in India for the past two years. 5G phones are also available from flagship segment to low budget. 5G smartphones available in the market before 5G network support different bands. Most phones support 4 or 5 bands. Some support 11 to 12 bands.
Jio will soon launch 5G
Jio is the largest telecom company in the country. The company has also spent the most money in the 5G spectrum auction. The company has purchased 5G spectrum for all 22 circles. It includes low-band, mid-band and mmWave spectrum. The 5 bands in which Jio has purchased spectrum include 700 MHz, 800 MHz, 1800 MHz, 3300 MHz and 26 GHz. The 5G bands supported by the smartphone start from the N-series. The company has purchased N18, N5, N3, N77 and N258 bands. In this, 5G service will be available all over India in 700 MHz i.e. N28 band.

This phone supports n1, n3, n5, n8, n28, n40, n41, n77, n78 bands. That is, it can use Jio 5G. Similarly, Xiaomi has launched the Redmi K50i. It will support N1, N3, N5, N7, N8, N20, N28A, N38, N40, N41, N77, N78 bands. If you look at Jio’s bands, you will notice that this phone will also support Jio 5G.
