Wildberries Launches ChatGPT Alternative for Shopping
The chatbot will analyze your purchase history, suggest new items, and help you find products using text descriptions.
An AI-powered assistant will be integrated into the Wildberries mobile app for iOS and Android. Users can enter a free-form description of the desired product, and the chatbot will generate a product feed with the most relevant results.
The assistant can also compare similar products—such as various smartphone models—or suggest gifts based on a person’s gender, age, and interests. In the future, its features will be expanded. For example, it will be able to identify products from photos and suggest identical or similar items. It will also recommend products based on previous purchases—for instance, if you’ve bought a tablet, the bot can find a compatible case.
The assistant is designed to respond to queries and help users make informed decisions—quickly, conveniently, and with attention to user feedback. This marks the beginning of a full-featured digital shopping assistant, intended to function like a personal consultant and save users time.
The chatbot will first be available to participants in a closed beta test. It will later be rolled out to all Wildberries users. A release date has not yet been announced.
Wildberries already uses several AI-driven tools. For example, in spring 2025, the marketplace introduced AI-generated summaries of customer reviews. Last fall, it also launched smart image-based product search.
