Why is the sun turning red with ‘angry’? More than 40 explosions in 14 days, scientists are saying this

The movement in the sun continues. All this is happening because of the 11-year cycle, which has brought the Sun into a very active phase. Scientists say that because of this, there will be explosions in the Sun till the year 2025. According to the information, in just two weeks, the Sun has emitted 35 coronal mass ejections (CMEs), 14 sunspots and six solar flares. Most of these did not reach Earth, while some affected us. Scientists have already warned that explosions in the Sun will cause solar flares and coronal mass ejections (CMEs), which can damage satellites in space and power grids on Earth.

Report According to the U.S., a coronal mass ejection is one of the largest eruptions on the surface of the Sun. These are large clouds of solar plasma. After a solar explosion, these clouds spread into the Sun’s magnetic field in space. Due to their rotation in space, they expand and often they reach a distance of several lakh miles. Sometimes they collide with the magnetic field of the planets. When their direction is towards the Earth, they can cause geomagnetic disturbances. Due to these, there can be short circuit in satellites and power grid can be affected. If their effect is high, they can also put the astronauts in Earth’s orbit at risk.

Meanwhile, the appearance of sunspots on the Sun has also increased. Because of this, solar flares are being emitted. When the Sun’s magnetic energy is released, the emitted light and particles form solar flares. These release energy comparable to billions of hydrogen bombs.

Talking about the solar cycle, it is of 11 years. During this, the activities on the Sun reach its peak and the Sun becomes calm as soon as the solar cycle ends. The US space agency NASA has told in a blog post a few days ago that solar events will continue to increase until the year 2025.
