Scientists have analyzed several hundred studies that examined how well the jury can determine the lies of witnesses in court. It turned out that non-verbal manifestations (facial expressions, gestures, etc.) cannot be considered a reliable sign of deception, and a face mask just allows you to focus more on a person’s speech.
In addition, the researchers concluded that even in online court hearings, the accuracy of the jury’s determination of lies in the speech of witnesses remains the same as in face-to-face court hearings.
